About quality control and quality assurance
Quality control and quality assurance
We strive to provide secure, safe and stable products by having dedicated staff check not only our own factories but also the factories of our manufacturers and manage specifications.
Focus on global raw material procurement

Bean fields in Thailand
Focus on raw material procurement from overseas
Dried foods are a traditional Japanese food, but the origins of the raw materials are diverse, from Japan to overseas, and products distributed on the market are no exception. With concerns about food safety due to "residual pesticides" and "falsification of origin" in foreign countries, Shimoda Shoji regularly inspects not only domestic but also overseas production areas such as Thailand to procure "secure and safe" raw materials.
Our own factory with a production management system, where quality comes first

Our own factory, bean sorting
Our own factory with thorough management from the production area to the product
In order to provide our customers with "safe and secure" products, we thoroughly manage the manufacturing process from the production of raw materials to the final product, as well as tracing the production of raw materials. In addition, we are particular about the sorting method of "hand sorting" and provide carefully selected beans and dried goods.
This is the core factory of the Kanenishiki brand, which pursues "quality first".
We have obtained "JFS-B" certification, which complies with HACCP, and are striving to further improve our level.
Distribution center that responds quickly to logistics needs

Distribution center
Distribution center that responds quickly to logistics needs
"From a wide range of products, we promptly deliver the necessary amount of products when the customer needs them" This is our mission as a dried food manufacturing wholesaler. Based on demand forecasts cultivated over many years, we have realized a system that can respond to orders from customers carefully and quickly by always keeping the appropriate amount of products in stock.
What is Kanenishiki?
Shimoda brand dried food products are made with high quality, ease of use, and Japanese flavor in mind.
We select traditional production areas and carefully select high-quality ingredients harvested at the best time of year.
We deliver each product with care, cherishing the rich blessings of the mountains, sea, and earth, the authentic taste, the flavor of nature, and the wisdom and experience of our ancestors.
There are producers all over Japan who produce high-quality dried foods, but find it difficult to commercialize them due to their small scale.
To support the development of these producers and meet a wide range of needs, we work with producers to develop original brands. One of these is the "Kane Nishiki" brand, represented by our symbol mark.
We deliver over 20 types of products from all over Japan, including beans from Hokkaido, Tohoku, and Tanba Sasayama, kudzu from Yoshino, Nara, dried gourd from Tochigi, agar from Nagano, yuba from Hyogo, and shredded radish from Miyazaki. We also have popular products from various Asian countries, such as Chinese mung bean vermicelli and wood ear mushrooms, and Thai rice vermicelli made from long grain rice. These are products that will surely let you experience the true deliciousness and health benefits of dried foods.
Kanenishiki's brand mark is inspired by the sun, which is the most important element of dried foods.
The red semicircle represents the shining sun. It is filled with the hopeful sun that pours out warm light to make crops ripen and cultivate deliciousness, and represents the development of the company. With this bright and youthful mark, we hope to refresh the image of dried foods and have people rediscover the taste of Japan as a sign of deliciousness and reliability.
